About Social Hofrats
Social Hofrats is a social media scheduling, management, and analytics application ("the App") operated by Santa Monica Networks ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), accessible at https://social.hofrats.com and via our corporate domain smn.lv.
The Social Hofrats App enables users to connect their social media accounts, schedule and publish content, and analyze performance across multiple platforms from a single interface. This Privacy Policy explains how Social Hofrats collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Social Hofrats App.

Information We Collect
When you use Social Hofrats, we collect the following categories of information:
Account Information
Registration Data
Your name, email address, and password when you create a Social Hofrats account.
Authentication Tokens
Secure OAuth tokens from connected social platforms, stored using AES-256 encryption.
Profile Metadata
Connected account usernames and avatars, cached only for display within the Social Hofrats dashboard.
Content Assets
Videos, images, captions, and media files you explicitly upload to publish via Social Hofrats.
Usage Data
We collect basic analytics on how you interact with Social Hofrats, including features used, scheduling activity, and error logs — solely to improve the App.
Technical Data
IP address, browser type, device type, and access timestamps, collected automatically to maintain security and performance of Social Hofrats.

How We Use Your Information
Social Hofrats uses your information only to operate and improve the App:
To authenticate you and maintain your Social Hofrats account
To connect your social media accounts and enable publishing on your behalf
To schedule and deliver your content to connected platforms at your specified times
To provide analytics and performance data about your published content
To send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, notifications)
To improve features and performance of Social Hofrats
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
Social Hofrats does not sell, rent, or use your personal data for advertising. The App displays no ads, and your data is never used to build advertising profiles.

Social Media API Integrations
Social Hofrats connects to third-party social media platforms via their official APIs. When you connect an account to Social Hofrats, we access only the permissions required to provide the service:
TikTokSocial Hofrats uses the TikTok API to publish video content, retrieve basic profile information, and display post analytics. Scopes used: user.info.basic, video.publish, video.upload, video.list, user.info.profile, user.info.stats. No TikTok data is stored beyond what is needed for your Social Hofrats dashboard.
YouTube / GoogleSocial Hofrats uses YouTube API Services to publish video content and retrieve channel analytics. Users are bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
Meta (Instagram / Facebook / Threads)Social Hofrats uses Meta APIs to schedule and publish posts, stories, and reels on your behalf.
LinkedInSocial Hofrats uses the LinkedIn API to publish posts and articles to your LinkedIn profile or company page.
X (Twitter)Social Hofrats uses the X API to schedule and publish posts on your behalf.
Once you connect a social media account to Social Hofrats, you agree to share relevant data with those platforms under their own terms and privacy policies. Santa Monica Networks is not responsible for data once it has been transmitted to a third-party platform.

Data Sharing & Disclosure
Social Hofrats does not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
Service ProvidersTrusted third-party providers that help operate Social Hofrats (hosting, email delivery) are bound by data protection agreements and may only process data as instructed by Santa Monica Networks.
Connected Social PlatformsWhen you instruct Social Hofrats to publish content, your data is transmitted to the relevant social network API on your behalf. You control what is sent and when.
Legal RequirementsWe may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Santa Monica Networks, Social Hofrats users, or the public.
Business TransferIn the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

User Control & Consent
Social Hofrats is built around explicit user control:
Explicit Consent to PublishNo content is ever transmitted to any social platform without a manual "Post" or "Schedule" action triggered by you within the Social Hofrats interface at social.hofrats.com.
Account VisibilitySocial Hofrats clearly displays which social media account is currently authenticated, preventing accidental cross-posting.
Granular Privacy ControlsFor platforms that support it (such as TikTok), you must manually select the privacy level (Public, Friends, or Private) and toggle permissions (Allow Comments, Duet, Stitch) before publishing.
Disconnect AnytimeYou can disconnect any connected account at any time via Channels settings in Social Hofrats at social.hofrats.com/settings. This immediately revokes our access to your API tokens.

Data Security
Social Hofrats implements industry-standard security measures:
OAuth tokens stored using AES-256 encryption
All data transmitted via HTTPS/TLS
Production system access restricted to authorized Santa Monica Networks personnel
Social media passwords are never stored — authentication is handled via OAuth only
Regular security reviews conducted on Social Hofrats infrastructure
While we take reasonable precautions, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. Please notify us immediately at karlis@smn.lv if you suspect unauthorized access to your Social Hofrats account.

Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your Social Hofrats account is active or as needed to provide the service:
Disconnect a Social AccountGo to Channels settings at social.hofrats.com/settings. This immediately and permanently deletes all associated API tokens from the Social Hofrats database.
Request Full Account DeletionEmail karlis@smn.lv to request deletion of your Social Hofrats account and all associated data. We fulfill all requests within 30 days.
Data ExportYou may request a copy of your Social Hofrats account data at any time by emailing karlis@smn.lv.
